Owned and operated for three generations by members of the Plevy Family, S&P has concentrated their efforts in the New York City Metropolitan area. The Company excels in Ornamental and Architectural Sheet Metal Work, and Exterior Facade Restoration. Schtiller & Plevy has extensive experience in Masonry Restoration, Exterior Architectural Woodwork and Historic Painting, taking great pride in the fine detailing of every specific area of a project and the preservation of the historic fabric of an exterior facade. Schtiller & Plevy fabricates and installs standing seam and batten seam roofing in various metals, corrugated metal siding, slate, tile and single-ply roofing systems. The company does custom sheet metal fabrication in its 6,500 square-foot shop. |

Larry Plevy, President of Schtiller & Plevy, holds a BS degree in Management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has working experience in the Industry and the Company for over 35 years. Larry is a long time member of SMACNA's (Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractor's Association) National Standards committee, which writes the SMACNA* Standards, the acknowledged bible of the construction industry. He also is a guest speaker at major Historic Restoration conferences and seminars. Many of the nations leading restoration architects, conservationists and engineers turn to Schtiller & Plevy for knowledgeable advice, superb workmanship and on-time projects and on-budget restoration services. On the SMACNA National level, Larry, while serving on the Architectural Sheet Metal Committee, was instrumental in the development and editing the 4th and 5th edition Architectural Sheet Metal Manuals. He has recently agreed to Chair the Architectural Task Force that will edit and revised the 6th edition of the Architectural Sheet Metal manual. In addition to his work on the Architectural Sheet Metal Manual, he is currently a member of the SMACNA National Nominating Committee, a member of the Architectural Sheet Metal Training Task Force and the Sheet Metal Contractor's Association of Northern NJ. He has also held positions in the local association negotiating committee since 1990; Joint Labor Management Trustee and JAC Committee member since 1974 and a member of the task force regarding the AIA Prequalification Task Force for qualified sheet metal contractors since 1999. Larry has completed other projects in various SMACNA National Task Force Committees including an A.I.A Prequalification form that qualifies Sheet Metal Contractors and Soldering Certification for Journeymen. Larry is the recent past president of the Eastern States Coalition of Sheet Metal Contractors. He is also a Board Member of Preservation New Jersey. Jami Raderman, Executive Vice President, has over twenty years of experience in historical restoration, and has worked for a number of prestigious restoration firms, from architectural conservators to well known restoration contractors, including Paragon Restoration Corp. and Sentry Contracting Inc. He brings to Schtiller & Plevy a wealth of experience in working with the New York City historic restoration community. He holds a BBA from Baruch College, and has pursued continuing education in, among others, the New York City Site Safety Program and the New York City Restore Program. Mr. Raderman's professional affiliations have included the New York Association of Realty Managers Inc, Associated Builders & Owners of Greater New York, National Roofing Contractors Association, Institute of Real Estate Management, The New York Cooperator and The New Jersey Cooperator. Harold Munder, Executive Vice President, started his career in 1968 in the sheet metal industry working for A. Munder and Son, Inc., started by his great grandfather in 1895. A. Munder & Sons merged with The New York Roofing Company, and Mr. Munder continued there as Vice President. Harold's particular expertise is the area of architectural sheet metal and restoration work, with over thirty years of experience in managing both large and small projects. He holds a Business Administration Degree from the University of South Carolina. His professional affiliations include the Subcontractors Trade Association, NY (Board Member, 10 years), SMACNA, NYC & National, (serving on various committees and task forces) and a member of BTEA. |
